Questionnaire survey

The ENVIE survey aims to gain a better understanding of the new realities of young adults’ intimate and sexual lives, e.g. the diverse forms of intimate relationships, new meeting venues, the experiences of singlehood, how couples meet and the experiences specific to the LGBTQIA+ community.

10,021 individuals aged 18 to 29 responded to the questionnaire between November 2022 and July 2023. The survey was carried out by phone by Ipsos, and the participants were selected at random. As such, mobile phone numbers were randomly generated. Participation was fully voluntary.

Participants had the right to refuse to answer all or certain questions, all responses have been made strictly confidential and all information that has been collected via this survey is protected by statistical confidentiality, in accordance with current French data protection legislation.
