Anonymity

All responses have been made strictly confidential and all participants were provided with the right to refuse to answer questions, which they could exercise at their discretion. All information that has been collected via this survey is protected by statistical confidentiality, in accordance with current French data protection legislation. The collected data will be processed for scientific research purposes only. The participants have the right to access information concerning them, as well as request that it be modified or deleted.

Participants’ rights

The regulations in place have provided you with the following data protection rights: to object to the collection of your data, to access your data and obtain a copy, to have your data completed or rectified, and to request that your data be deleted or restricted. You may exercise these rights at any time by contacting Marie Bergström (INED), the individual in charge of this study. You can also obtain information on the legal framework relevant to this study by contacting INED’s Data Protection Officer. Finally, if you feel that INED has not respected your rights, you may file a complaint with the CNIL. To exercise these rights, simply contact us.

Statistical confidentiality

Statistical confidentiality guarantees that data on the participants will only be used for research of statistical purposes. It also ensures that the collected data are not used in ways that could bring harm to the participants.

Protection of personal data and privacy

No personal or identifying data will be shared. Analyses will only be carried out at the aggregate (macro) level, i.e. no individual data will be analysed.

Legal basis for data processing

Participation in this survey is based on public interest; it is not compulsory. Your responses will be processed as personal data under the responsibility of INED. After analysis, they will be archived.

Data recipients

Questionnaire-based survey: The data, which have been collected by the Ipsos Institute, will be analysed and preserved by the scientific team who designed this study and will be stored and archived by INED. A pseudonymised data file will be made available to the scientific community, upon request and after authorisation; under no circumstances will this file allow you to be identified.

Qualitative interviews: The interviews will be conducted and analysed by members of the study’s scientific team. The contents of the interview are strictly confidential and restricted to the scientific team.

Retention period for pseudonymised data

The data will be subject to intermediate preservation 2 years after the date of the last scientific use of the survey (provisional date: 2031) and permanent preservation 5 years after the date of the last scientific use (provisional date: 2034).

 

Obtaining and saving your phone number

Questionnaire-based survey: Your phone number has been generated at random by a computer, i.e. it has been dialled at random. It will be deleted at the end of this survey, unless you agree to be contacted again for the qualitative interview.

Qualitative interviews: Your phone number will be retained and stored for the duration of the interview. After the interview or after refusal to participate, it will be permanently deleted
