Qualitative interviews
INED is currently expanding on the quantitative study by conducting individual interviews with questionnaire respondents who have agreed to be re-contacted by phone. The aim of these interviews is to explore more freely certain topics covered by the questionnaire. These interviews are strictly scientific and participation is voluntary.
The interview can be held over the phone, face-to-face or via videoconference, whichever mode is preferred by the participant. It will focus on topics covered by the questionnaire. All responses will be made strictly confidential and all participants have been provided with the right to refuse to answer questions, which they will be able to exercise at their discretion.
Interviews currently being conducted
The interviews are being conducted by members of the ENVIE team. Different members are conducting studies on slightly different topics but all revolve around intimacy and sexuality. At present, the interviews are being conducted by the following individuals and on the following topics:
Marie Bergström, Florence Maillochon & Rébecca Lévy-Guillain: The interviews focus on the different types of relationships experienced throughout life, including the ways in which they are defined and experienced.
Titiouan Fantoni-Decayeux: The interviews focus, in particular, on falling in love for the first time and first sexual experiences, from a participant’s crush to what is often referred to as "the sexual debut”.
Malena Lapine: The interviews focus on life course events and the different relationships experienced throughout life, in relation to their respective contexts.
Romain Philit: The interviews focus on an individual’s intimate biographies starting from adolescence, i.e. their experiences of love, relationships and sexuality from adolescence to present day.
